Chris Barber: Getting Around

Getting Around is a compilation of twenty of the best tracks, taken from The Chris Barber Jazz Band’s many international tours. The CD features performances at two separate dates in Prague - the first time the band recorded behind the Iron Curtain - as well as a gig in Munich and, of course, a session in London. Chris Barber (b. 1930) is a trombonist and bandleader, renowned for having maintained a consistent traditional jazz sound over decades of performances. His band has always incorporated new arrangements while sticking with the upbeat style that works for them, keeping their jazz as fresh as ever.
