Single vineyard site on the commune of Vergisson – the northernmost commune of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation: The "Sur la Roche" plot is located on the south-east slope of the Roche de Vergisson. Overlooking the Saône valley, these 70 year old Chardonnay vines are planted in Quaternary clay-limestone soil. The slope is 15 % and the vines face south-east. With an altitude of about 370 meters, this vine is moderately early.

Beautiful pale gold colour. The nose evokes buttery and grilled almond aromas. In the mouth the very pronounced mineral character of the terroir gives a lot of purity (flint). Very nice finish, long and persistent.
