The BBC Acting Series: Maria Aitken - Acting In High Comedy

The BBC Acting Series has surpassed all other video acting programs in its influence on the acting profession and in the high standard it has set for arts education. While each program is targeted towards a particular realm of acting, an abundance of general wisdom is offered in each which easily applies to a diversity of acting challenges.Maria Aitkens covers a vast range of topics, including 'What is high comedy?', details on delivery, wit, character, and much more. Her theatre credits include leading roles at the Royal National Theatre, where she featured in Blithe Spirit and Bedroom Farce; and at the West End she starred in A Little Night Music and Hayfever amongst others. Her film roles include her BAFTA-nominated part in A Fish Called Wanda. Maria is now on the artistic board of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and the International Foundation for Training in the Arts, and enjoys a long association with the Juilliard School and the Yale School of Drama.
