Richard Addinsell/Joyce Grenfell: Learn To Loosen (The Music's Message)

Learn To Loosen (The Music’s Message) was first created in 1954 as part of a musical revue entitled Joyce Grenfell Requests The Pleasure . The music was written by the British composer Richard Addinsell (1904-1977), who collaborated with Grenfell on many of her revue items, as well as writing several scores for film and theatre. His most famous work is undoubtedly his Warsaw Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, which formed a memorable part of the soundtrack to the 1941 film Dangerous Moonlight . Joyce Grenfell (1910-1979) was a British actress, comedian and entertainer. She is best remembered for her roles in the original St Trinian’s films, but also appeared in countless stage shows and revues.
