This is an IMS 28.5E 'ridgeless' basket designed to fit a 58-58.4 tamper. It fits all standard 58mm portafilters. These baskets are geared towards optimising extraction rates, through a combination of precision/laser etches holes and ridgeless walls, allowing you to tamp deeper, house more coffee and not be restricted by the traditional ridged walls of normal baskets. The IMS Competition filter enhances the high quality features of different types of coffee, maintaining the body and texture of the cream. The SHAPE and PERFORATION have been designed and calibrated so as to ensure the ideal extraction. It is a cylindrical filter with a convex bottom. The shape collects coffee towards the center during extraction and it is well matched with a bottomless portafilter. Average capacity 20/22.
