The family have been growers since 1620 and starting making their own wines in 1947. They now have 41 hectares, all tended biodynamically to express as perfectly as possible the grape and its terroir. The grapes for their Roche Calcaire come from the younger vines of their Grand Cru vineyards – Goldert and Hengst – fruit not quite ready for the Grand Cru wines, but still very fine.
