Miffy the Rabbit

Introduced to the world in 1955: Miffy the Rabbit, designed by Dick Bruna. Dick Bruna was a legendary Dutch illustrator. He became world famous with his children books about Nijntje, now better known as Miffy. The first story about Miffy was published in 1955, and is still as popular today as it quickly became back then. Inspired by Matisse, Picasso and Braque, Dick Bruna's creations are minimal but still full of life and details. He once said: "What matters to me is reducing everything to its essence so that no line is redundant. That is the strength of simplicity: The art of omission".
