Andi feels lonely and unloved. He feels that his parents would prefer to give him away. Three children are to many for one family. At school Andi has no friends, and he tries to be cool by becoming a member of a gang of boys who steals in a shopping centre. The gang keeps on pressuring Andi - he receives threatening letters and gets beaten. One day a new boy starts in Andi's class. The other boys refuse to speak to him, because of his long hair. Meanwhile, as time goes by, the new boy becomes Andi's best friend.
